Aggiornata ogni fine maggio, la Scotch Whisky Association ha appena pubblicato la mappa 2023 delle distillerie di whisky attive in Scozia. Ricordiamo che nella mappa Whisky Club Italia sono disponibili le informazioni storiche e tecnologiche di tutte le distillerie di Scozia.
Mappa delle distillerie
La Scozia ospita oltre 140 distillerie di malto e di grano, il che la rende la più grande concentrazione di produzione di whisky al mondo. Molte distillerie accolgono le visite del pubblico. Spesso è necessario prendere accordi in anticipo, ma molte distillerie dispongono di ampie strutture per i visitatori e non richiedono un preavviso.
Visitare una distilleria vi permette di assecondare la vostra passione per lo scotch e, allo stesso tempo, di scoprire l’ambiente e incontrare le persone che hanno fatto tanto per dare forma al nostro prodotto simbolo. Indipendentemente dalla distilleria che si sceglie di visitare – sia essa un’isola, una terraferma, grande o piccola – ci si può aspettare un ottimo Scotch Whisky, un caloroso benvenuto scozzese e una giornata favolosa.

In totale sono elencate 145 distillerie attive, così suddivise:
- 9 distillerie di malto su Islay
- 3 distillerie di malto a Campbeltown
- 55 distillerie di malto nelle Highlands
- 51 distillerie di malto nello Speyside
- 20 distillerie di malto nelle Lowlands
- 7 distillerie di Grano
